My Journey to Becoming a Doula
Hi, I'm Britney!
I'm a birth doula, a mom to two girls and a boy, and a North Carolina native now calling New Mexico home. My fascination with the strength of women's bodies and the transformation that happens through birth has been a lifelong pull—long before I had the language for it.
While my early academic path led me to earn a business degree, my heart was always tethered to maternal health and the deeply human experience of pregnancy and birth. After my husband's military career brought our family to New Mexico, everything came into focus with the birth of my third child. Being fully supported by a doula showed me, firsthand, what birth support can truthfully be: informed, present, steady, and rooted in trust.
That experience changed everything. It gave me the clarity I needed to return to work that feels deeply aligned—supporting families through birth in a way that honors autonomy, individual choice, and informed decision-making.
From physical comfort measures during labor to practical guidance throughout the fourth trimester, I provide holistic support tailored to your unique needs. I meet you where you are, offering calm, compassionate care without judgment or pressure.
My goal is for you to step into this chapter feeling physically capable and emotionally secure, knowing you have a dedicated advocate by your side. Together, we work to build an environment where your instincts are trusted, your voice is respected, and your physical and emotional well-being remain the top priority.
Who I Support
Whether it’s your first baby, you’re growing your family, or healing from a past loss or difficult birth.
I’m here for all kinds of births: unmedicated, epidural, planned cesarean, and VBAC, in hospitals, birth centers, and at home. What matters most is that your preferences are heard and respected, and that you feel grounded, prepared, and compassionately supported—no “perfect” plan required.
