What does a doula do?
A birth doula offers steady emotional, physical, and informational support throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and the early postpartum period. I’m here to help you feel supported, informed, and confident as you navigate your birth experience.
Do you give medical advice?
I don’t provide medical advice or perform clinical tasks. I share evidence-based information, offer comfort measures, and help you explore options so you can make informed decisions with your care provider.
Do you replace my partner or my medical provider?
Not at all! Your partner and care providers play important roles. I’m there to support you and your support team, offer comfort measures, and help create a calm, supported environment during birth.
What are your payment options?
A non-refundable deposit is required to begin services, with flexible payment options available for the remaining balance. I’m always happy to walk through payment details and answer questions so everything feels comfortable and transparent before we move forward together.
How soon should we book your service?
I’d love for us to connect as early as you can—usually around the second trimester works well. That way we have plenty of time to get to know each other, chat about your birth preferences, and make sure I can support you exactly when you need me.
Are doulas useful during a C-section or with an epidural?
Yes. These are often the moments where doula support is most valuable. With an epidural, a doula can help with positioning and comfort. Many hospitals also allow doulas to be present during a C-section to provide calm, steady support. During an induction, a doula can help you understand your options and feel more grounded throughout the process. Your journey doesn’t have to look any one way to be supported.
